Triumphs are made for driving, and South Texas gives us plenty of excuses to do just that. With the Hill Country on our doorstep there are thousands of miles of gorgeous roads practically begging for tire tracks. We plan at least one quarterly drive to nearby towns to sample whatever seasonal delights they’ve cooked up. And of course, it wouldn’t be an STTA road trip without the essentials: some proper BBQ, a stop at a local watering hole, or any other excuse to gather around a table and act like the drive wasn't really just a warm‑up for lunch.
Be sure to ask about our next “Ain’t for the Faint” annual drive. It's a hot one -- literally!

STTA members show up at just about every local and national event—sometimes even on purpose. You can always count on at least one of us to make our presence known at VTR regional and national conventions, usually by winning something shiny and bringing home trophies that may or may not fit on the mantel. Closer to home, we regularly slum with our friends in the Jaguar, Sunbeam, and MG clubs, swapping stories, parts, and the occasional roadside repair. And if it’s the third Saturday of the month, you’ll probably find several of us at a Cars and Coffee event, pretending we woke up early on purpose.
Now if we could only convince Ant Anstead to drop by for a TR7 tech session….

Many of our members actually enjoy wrenching on their cars—yes, voluntarily—and they’ve accumulated an impressive amount of knowledge about their particular Triumph models. With nearly every Triumph ever built represented in our club, we love hosting Tech Sessions where that collective wisdom gets passed around like a well‑used torque wrench, all while helping someone make progress on their latest project (or at least figure out where that extra bolt came from). Chances are, one of our members is exactly the expert you need. And on the off chance we don’t know the quirks of your specific car, we can absolutely point you toward someone who does—whether they’re right here in town or halfway across the country, probably elbow‑deep in another restoration.
Just don’t get us started talking about the turbo encabulator, or we’ll be there all night.

What can we say? Our webmaster clearly doesn’t have enough to do! So if you’re looking to shift your motor, we’ll happily put those idle hands to work by building a custom web page for your classic Triumph—complete with up to a dozen glamour shots. We’ll feature it for 90 days and share the link with VTR‑related clubs far and wide. Before you know it, Triumph hunters from across the country will have your pride and joy front and center, wondering how quickly they can get it into their garage.
You’ll have seller’s remorse before you know it. Guaranteed.
